We leave the house at first light with tickets already in hand and ride the gondola's first cabin up Kongdoori. At the top, while the day-trippers are still buying tickets below, you watch the sun clear the ridge over Apharwat with a flask of kahwa. Your guide grew up herding goats on this mountain and reads its weather like a face.
